What Happens After Yes

Map a Client Onboarding That Works for You

A live workshop for creative service providers who are ready to stop patching together an onboarding process that almost works.

You know what needs to happen when a client says yes.

Contract. Invoice. Kickoff call. Welcome email. Getting all their information without chasing it down in seventeen follow-up messages.

But if you're being honest — it's not as smooth as it looks from the outside.

Maybe you have pieces but they don't quite connect. Maybe you built something inside your CRM and it's running, just not the way you pictured when you invested in the tool.

Whatever version of that is true for you — this workshop is where you fix it.

Jacki Hayes, a white woman with shoulder-length brown hair, is typing on a laptop, laughing.

What Happens After Yes is a live, interactive workshop where you'll build — or rebuild — your client onboarding flow from wherever you are right now.

Not a lecture. Not a course to get through later. Actual building time, with guidance and structure, in a format designed to get you to a finished product by the time we're done.

The format: Teach → Work → Teach → Work → Q&A → Peer Review (optional).

I teach a concept. You apply it to your own business. We repeat. By the end, you have something real — not notes, not inspiration, not a to-do list. An actual onboarding flow that's yours. And yes, I’ll talk about one of my offers, briefly, in case you need more support.

What this workshop is

What you'll leave with

A written or visual onboarding flow — whichever format works for your brain — that maps your client experience from the moment someone says yes to the moment the work begins.

Plus a clear list of what still needs to be built, revised, or thrown out entirely — so you know exactly what to do after the workshop ends.

This workshop is for you if:

You're a creative service provider — a designer, copywriter, or boutique agency founder — and at least one of these sounds familiar:

You have pieces — a contract, a welcome email, an intake form — but they were built at different times for different reasons and they don't quite tell a coherent story. Every time you try to connect them, something doesn't fit.

You have a CRM you've invested real time and money into, and it's running, but there's a gap between what it does and what you pictured when you built it.

What this workshop is not

It's not a template you fill in. It's not a one-size-fits-all system. It's not me telling you which tool to use.

It's a structured process for building something that actually reflects how you work, what your clients need, and what you want the experience of working with you to feel like.

What people who've attended my workshops have said

“I got so much MORE than I came for! Not only the connection and coaching and community, but the clarity and deep dig I didn't even know that I needed.” ~ Bridget Baker

”I love Jacki's emphasis on building from the ground up (values are my JAM) and the recipe metaphor helped me better understand how I could put it all together to make something that would work for me and my business.” ~ Megan Dowd

A note on what this is actually about

Most people think of onboarding as the administrative part — the paperwork, the scheduling, the information gathering.

It's not.

Onboarding is the first experience your client has of working with you.

The moment they say yes, they're paying attention  (consciously or not)  to whether they made the right choice.

What they receive from you, how quickly, how it feels to be in your hands before the work even begins — all of it shapes the relationship, the project, and whether they refer you when it's over.

A seamless onboarding isn't a nice-to-have. It's the foundation everything else is built on.

This workshop is where you build it.
